Üçünçü koşul durumu şu şekilde oluşrutulur:
if + past perfect tense, would/could/might + perfect infinitive(fiil 3. halde)
- If I had met you earlier, I wouldn't have married Joe.
Bu cümlede görüldüğü gibi,
if cümlesi, "past perfect tense" ile kuruldu, 2. cümle ise would + fiil 3. halde şeklinde kuruldu.
If cümlesi ile 2. cümle yer değiştirebilir.
- I wouldn't have married Jo if I'd met you earlier.
KULLANIMI:
Üçüncü koşul durumu, geçmişten söz ederken kullanılır.
"Olsaydı, yapsaydım, etseydim" anlamlarında gelecek şekilde kullanılır.
- I'd have warned you if I'd seen you last week.
(Eğer seni geçen hafta görseydim seni uyaracaktım.)
[Görmediğimden dolayı uyaramadım.]
- If I'd passed by exams, I would have gone to Art College.
(Eğer sınavlarımı geçseydim, sanat okuluna gidecektim.)

If konusu ikinci koşul durumunda cümle yapıları aşağıdaki şekildedir:
If + geçmiş zaman, would/could/might + fiil (mastar halde)
- If I lived by the sea, I would do a lot of swimming.
(Eğer deniz kenarında yaşasaydım, çok fazla yüzerdim.)
- If they asked me to work for them, I might accept.
(Eğer onlar için çalışmamı isterseler, kabul edebilirim.)
If içeren cümle ile diğer cümle yer değiştirebilir.
- I would do a lot of swimming if I lived by the sea.
Buradaki geçmiş zaman, istek kipi anlamındadır.
Şu örneklere bakalım:
- If I were you, I'd change my job.
(Eğer yerinde olsaydım, işimi değiştirirdim.)
would genellikle 'd şeklinde kısaltılır.
KULLANIM YERLERİ
İkinci koşul yapısı, genellikle varsayımsal ve de olası olmayan durumlar için kullanılır.
- If I worked in that factory, I'd soon change things.
(Eğer bu fabrikada çalışsaydım, kısa zamanda birçok şeyi değiştirirdim.)
- If she left her husband, she might be habbier.
(Eğer hocasından ayrılsa, daha mutlu olacak. (muhtemelen ayrılmayacak)

Birinci koşul durumu şu şekilde yapılır:
If + geniş zaman, gelecek zaman
If 'den sonraki cümle geniş zaman ile kurulurken, diğer cümle ise gelecek zamanla oluşturulur.
- If you drop it, it will break.
- Eğer onu düşürürsen, kırılır.If you come at ten, we will be ready.
- Eğer saat onda gelirsen, hazır olacağız.If you phone me, I will pick you up at the park.
- Bana telefon edersen, seni parktan alacağım.
Önce gelecek zamanlı cümle, sonra da if cümlesi şeklinde de cümle kurulabilir.
- It will break if you drop it.
- We will be ready if you come at ten.
- I will pick you up at the park if you phone me.
Kullanım Yerleri:
Birinci koşul cümlesi, gelecekle ilgili gerçekleşmesi muhtemel durumlardan söz ederken kullanılır.
- If it rains, we'll go to the cinema.
- Eğer yağmur yağarsa, sinemaya gideceğiz. (yağabilirde yağmayabilirde)If the sun shines, we'll go to the beach.
- Eğer güneş çıkarsa, sahile gideceğiz.

Sıfır koşul durumunda cümle yapıları aşağıdaki şekildedir:
